Artie Mae Morse, age 89, of Arkadelphia, died Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Beverly Health Care Center in Arkadelphia. She was born October 25, 1915 in Okolona, the daughter of the late William Harrison and Lillie Mae Lowery Crawley. She was a former seamstress and an employee of Continental Trailways in Dallas, Texas and a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. She attended school at Piney near Antoine. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gid Morse. Survivors are one daughter, Dorothy Starnes of Arkadelphia, one brother, Claude Crawley of Birmingham, Alabama and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10:00 AM Saturday at Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia with Rev. Erby Burgess officiating. Interment in Okolona cemetery. Family hours are 6 to 8 PM Friday at Welch Funeral Home, 202 South 4th Street, Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church.
