Annie Burks Pigg, age 85, of Lansing , MI , formerly of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in Lansing .  She was born November 30, 1932 in Sparkman, the daughter of the late Hosie and Mary Lock Burks.  Annie was a retired custodian at Henderson State University .  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church .  Annie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clifton Pigg, granddaughter, Antigone Graham, and great grandsons, Andrew and Anthony Watson..

Survivors are two daughters, Clarice Brown (Henry) of Lansing, MI, and Barbara Hawthorne (Tracy) of Dallas , TX , two grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Welch Funeral Home.

Family hour will be from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home

Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens .
