Alex Ross, age 79, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, June 14, 2019 at his home.  He was born May 3, 1940 in Coal Hill , AR , the son of the late Alva Franklin and Shelley Parum Ross.  Alex was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a retired truck driver and carpenter.  Alex was a member of Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church .  He enjoyed fishing in his free time.  Alex was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Tom and CB, three sisters, Roxie, Jean and Myrtle.

Survivors are his wife, Marcella Fite Ross of Arkadelphia, one son, Frank Ross (Penny) of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Connie Christie (James) of Bismarck, one brother, Bob Ross (Rose) of Oregon , four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Hardin officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Round Hill Cemetery .
