Janis Aleene Ledbetter McClard, age 79, of Bismarck, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. She was born on April 10, 1936 in Caney, the daughter of the late Jesse Davis and Adell Allen Ledbetter. Aleene was a graduate of Bismarck High School and a member of DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. Aleene was preceded in death by her sister, LaVelle Roberts. She is survived by her husband, Clifford McClard of Bismarck, her daughter, Donna (Mike) Pearson of Benton, LA, her son, Randy McClard of Bismarck, her sister, Ruthell Prince of Malvern, four grandchildren, Brock (Megan) McClard of Allen, TX, Kyle McClard of Dallas, TX, Jordan (Heather) Pearson of Bossier City, LA and Jentry Pearson of Benton, LA, and three great grandchildren, Brooklyn McClard and Barnes and Webb Pearson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Morrison and Bro. Alan Cansler officiating. Interment will be in Prairie Bayou Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
