Roy Alan Gaither, age 68, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at his home.  He was born November 18, 1950 in Arkadelphia, the son of the late Roy Neal and Juanita Sullivan Gaither.  Alan was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.  He served in the United States Army National Guard.  Alan was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church .  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and church activities in his free time.

Alan is survived by three children, Kelly Black and her husband Will of Oakridge, NC, two sons, Justin Gaither and his wife Sarah of Caddo Valley and Josh Gaither and his wife Tina of Prairie Grove, AR, nine grandchildren, Kenny, Jackie, Sophie, Christian, William, Benjamin, Gabe, Isaac and Samuel, two brothers, Randy Gaither of Arkadelphia and Gary Gaither and his wife Patti of Arkadelphia.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, April 22, 2019 at the funeral home.

Services will be private.
